Large white bottom (half)
As I looked at my pile of ‘summer summer’ clothes – that live on my bed in the day and my floor at night -I spied my May crisp white, cotton skirt and knew that the rare late summer sun that shone outside was a good opportunity to have one last summer fling. I paired it with my ‘surfing everywhere’ t-shirt that Jane Dolan gave me when I was 12 and loved the fact that I was making the most out of my clothes.
Making the most of what we have is one of the reasons why I set up Red Shoes… because I hate waste.
Clothes are people too. Clothes aren’t meant to be sat in the cupboards being ignored…what’s the point in having them! Clothes are for life not just for christmas/summer sale time. I will admit that this skirt doesn’t get much of an outing but every summer I make sure it comes out of my bottom drawer, it lies on my bed, so that I can see it, and I will make sure that I find a day when the world is ready for my white bottom half 😉
(secondhand t-shirt, may skirt, folk sandals, gifted frida bag, m & s sunnies)
I teamed it with a pair of flats to dress it down and headed to the common for a sunbath and a read….
Unfortunately my NBF Evie turned up with Scrumpy the dog and a chocolate biscuit…the skirt didn’t stay crisp, clean or white for much longer!
